Horse riding tour in Kyrgyzstan
We offer several variants horse ride treks in Kyrgyzstan which covers the most beautiful sites of Tien Shan Mountains. If you dont have experience of horse riding, dont worry our professional horseman will help to you during the tour and we have also calm horses special for beginners. All the horses used for the tour are owned by the Kyrgyz tribes or shepherds and carefully selected by our horseman. The saddles are very simple, traditional Kyrgyz or Russian saddles. covered with a large and deep sheep skin cloth and pretty comfortable for all day rides. Saddle bags are available on request. The horses are usually all male, either stallions or geldings. The mares are used for breeding.

Day 01:Bishkek – Shamshy Pass
After early breakfast leave Bishkek for Shamshy Gorge, 3-hour drive. On the way visit the Burana Towerarchitectural complex (the 10-11th centuries, the Great Silk Road). Meet horsemen and guides’ team in Shamshy gorge. Picnic lunch. Start horseback riding towards Shamshy pass (3 570 meters). Dinner. Stay overnight in tents before the pass.
Day 02: Shamshy Pass – Sarala Saz jailoo
After breakfast continue tour and cross the Shamshy pass (3 570 meters). Descend to Sarala-Saz jailoo, which offers beautiful views of the Kara Moinok and Sandyk mountains to the south. After welcome tea in the yurt, eat dinner and stay overnight in the yurt of local shepherds.
Day 03:Sarala Saz jailoo – Iyri Suu
This day you spend crossing wide-open pastures till Iri Suu area. Eat dinner in Iri-Suu jailoo, and then take an evening walk over the hill into the beautiful Kashka-Suu River valley, where you can eat wild rhubarb and watch the alpenglow on the southern mountains. Overnight stay in tent.
Day 04: Iyri Suu – Buchuk Pass – Soak valley
After breakfast at Iri-Suu, gear up for a long day through nearly-empty country. Begin by traversing the western end of the Kochkor Valley through scrubby dry terrain. After crossing the fast Karakol River, climb 1000 meters over the Buchuk Pass (3400 m). On the other side, after a brief break for lunch on the trail, descend into the beautiful Soak Valley. Overnight stay in your tents
Day 05:Soak valley –Koldu Suu jailoo – Kyzart Pass
After breakfast at Sook, detour to the next valley west, the Kum Bel, for the best approach to the 3 600 m Kum Bel Pass. From the pass, follow a ridge eastward and upward to the peak, 3656 m above sea level, with breathtaking 360 views and sheer drops to the north. Continue east, testing yours walking skills down scree-covered hillsides, and eat lunch in a sheltered notch. Descend at last into the Kolduu Suu valley, and follow it down between dandelion-covered mountains to your yurt, Kyzart pass. Dinner overnight in yurt.
Day 06: Kyzart pass – Kilemche
After breakfast we start horseback riding to Kilemche, on the way we cross Kyzyl-Kiya pass 3000m, an enormous, relatively flat sea of grass. Continue into the Chaar-Archa Valley and eat a tasty lunch in a valley, with views of holy 4400 m Baba-Ata Mountain. After lunch go to Kilemche jailoo. Dinner and sleep in a yurt.
Day 07:Kilemche – Song Kol lake (Zhaman Echki)
Spend the morning climbing to Jalgyz Karagai pass (3400m), enter the lake basin. The trek offers superb views of grassland and mountain ranges. After lunch you have time to spend near the lake. Dinner Overnight in yurt,enjoy typical local food, such as fermented mare’s milk.
Day 08: Song Kol lake (Zhaman Echki)– Song Kol lake (Batai Aral)
After breakfast. Horse riding about 4-6 hours along the lake. Local people live and graze their livestock on the meadows (jailoo) around the lake. You will taste the wilderness and freedom of nomadic life here. If whether is good, you can swim to the lake with horses. Dinner overnight in yurt.
Day 09: Song Kol lake (Batai Aral)– Kochkor – Bishkek
After breakfast transfer by car to Bishkek (7 hours), Lunch in Kochkor. After lunch, transfer to Bishkek arrival to Bishkek. Dinner in restaurant. Free time
